Environmentally Friendly Pest Control Products:

2 Packs of 6 Pic Fly Ribbon Fly Papers (12 Rolls Total) (NEW) $9 Environmentally Friendly Pest Control

The picture shows just 1x 6 packs but you will get 2x 6 packs (12 rolls total). The packaging may differ from the packaging in the picture, but the brand and number of fly ribbons is the same.

Each of the 6 rolls of fly paper comes with a thumb tack and a loop for mounting and the instructions for use are on the back of the package. Please follow the instructions before using especially the parts about handle with care because it’s very sticky and slowly untwist the rolls the one direction that helps or they will tear off. Not all products you have to read the instructions first before using but this one you do.

The front of the package reads: “Traps flying insects. No poisons. No vapors. Pic dependable insect and rodent control since 1953.”

The directions on the back of the package read: “DIRECTIONS FOR USE: Pull out cord slowly with twirling motion until thumbtack is exposed. Remove and place the thumbtack to a secured position for later use. Warm tube if it is very cold. Hang the ribbon using the thumbtack away from sunshine. PLACEMENT OF RIBBON: Flies are sensitive to light, temperature and humidity. If no insects are caught within 2 or 3 days, switch ribbon to another location (further from or closer to window, etc.) DISPOSAL OF RIBBON: To discard, wrap used ribbon securely in newspaper, paper or plastic bag and dispose of in trash receptacle. To remove adhesive from hands, use paint thinner or mineral spirits. PRECAUTIONARY STATEMENTS: All pest-control items should be kept out of the reach of children.

They are 62% rosin-rubber mineral oil (and that is the one active ingredient) and 28% tack-paper tape (and that is the one inert ingredient).

Flies are more than just annoying, they also spread disease, and fly paper is an environmentally friendly way to keep their numbers down.

How long they last after you hang them depends upon how many flies they catch and how much dust gets stuck to them as both caught flies and dust reduces how sticky it is for catching additional flies.

These don’t have an expiration date on them nor a manufactured date but don’t have an indefinite shelf-life. How you know if the ones you have are bad (if you don’t know how old they are) is if they are in parts soaked through the outside of the rolls, because then if you try to unravel them since the paper is weakened from the constant immersion in the sticky goo for years-and-years you can’t unroll them far without the paper tearing even if you are careful. And while the sticky goo is still sticky (since it didn’t dry out) so still can catch flies, without the ability to unravel a roll much without it tearing makes the product much less usable in any way and in the way off fully-extending the rolls for maximum effect as the product is intended is impossible.

We have 0 sets of 2 packs of 6 in stock but will probably get more in eventually so for now these are just here for reference to help you in case you wanted to look for them elsewhere and if you email us about them we can email you if we ever get more in.
